No date this weekend? Treat yourself to some eye-candy instead, with our round-up of the hottest Asian men currently on the planet. Match.com’s dating expert Kate Taylor needs some air…
Godfray Geo
Your “Who?” will turn to “Swoon” when you catch a glimpse of the world’s first Asian male supermodel, who is the face of Luis Vuitton. Born in Taiwan and now breaking hearts in Vancouver, Geo is also an actor and has a black-belt in Tae Kwon Do. More importantly, he’s a demon in the kitchen and specialises in baking chocolate-chip cookies. “My mother kept on telling me to open a bake shop to attract the ladies,” he confesses. Like we’d need a reason to love him. Want to swoon more? Check out his acting in 2013’s Mortal Instruments, and 2015’s Wedding Bible.
Hrithik Roshan
One of Bollywood’s hottest actors, and reputedly “the most handsome man in India”, Roshan has recently come back on the market after his 14-year marriage to actress Sussanne Khan ended in November 2014. And we’re not pleased he’s single, but we’d just love to soothe his pain in any way possible. *Tremble* Roshan has been acting since 2000, and has risen from bit-parts to starring in the highest-grossing films the Bollywood industry has ever seen, including Krrish 3 (2013) and Bang Bang (2014). Little known fact: he has two thumbs on his right hand. If you’d like to see even more of this double-digited heartthrob, head to London’s Madame Tussauds and enjoy the waxwork of him with his top off.
Dae Na
This 22-year-old Korean model keeps himself to himself, but as long as he keeps posting shirtless selfies on Instagram, we really don’t mind. His name translates to “Greatness” and “Shining Beloved”. He’s modelled for Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Diesel, Banana Republic and Donna Karan, but he otherwise keeps a low profile. In fact, all we really know about him is that he’s 6’2”, loves playing the guitar and singing, he is a keen cook and a devout Christian. In fact, he’s someone you could easily take home to meet your Mum (just keep him away from your sister).
Rick Yune
Although he’s 41, Yune is still proving annoyingly distracting when we go to the cinema on Date Night. Born in Washington to Korean parents, Yune was working on Wall Street as an intern when his chiselled gorgeousness was spotted by a modelling agent, and he soon began appearing in adverts for Ralph Lauren and Versace. In 1999 he made the move to acting, and is most remembered for playing Zao, the villain in the 20th James Bond film Die another Day. He was terrified of the opportunity: “History will tell where I stand in the ranks of Bond villiains, I have no control over that. I was worried about being the nut that ruined 40 years of history.” More recently, Yune starred with Russell Crowe in martial-arts epic Man with the Iron Fists (Yune is an Olympic-standard Taekwondo champ), and 2014’s Olympus Has Fallen.
Hideo Muraoka
Half Japanese, half Brazilian, and not half gorgeous, Muraoka is a model and a law student. A LAW STUDENT. See? You’re not shallow if you love him! He’s intelligent and is going to fight for justice. With that out of the way, you can go back to enjoying photos of him with his abs out. Unlike the reserved Dae Na, Muraoka is a social-media hound and regularly tweets updates of his life. We love the hourly pics of him glistening gently in the gym, but his girlish health posts on blogspot (“Every morning, I drink a large cup of Lemon Cucumber water!”) would be off-putting if he wasn’t so insanely handsome. Funny how a man with a name only two letters away from “Hideous” can be anything but.
