Based in Clapham, Zumbura is an Indian restaurant that has an east meets west feel and serves authentic northern Indian cuisine. This is a perfect spot for an elegant but also lively date. Serving the majority of their dishes as small plates, this is a great place to go if you like to share your food. Sharing food is an excellent ice-breaker on a date as you can talk about the flavour of the food and what you like. Zumbura’s pricing isn’t extortionate but be warned, going to Zumbura on an empty stomach could be dangerous. Dishoom has four establishments across the capital, all offering mouth wateringly delicious cuisine. Located in Shoreditch, Carnaby Street, Kings Cross and Covent Garden, all the restaurants have a very similar vibe. The restaurants are modelled on old Irani cafes which used to be extremely common in Bombay and which give these restaurants a classic colonial charm. Thanks to all the restaurants creative flair and fresh produce, Café Spice is at the top end of most diner’s budgets.
