As the burger revolution continues in the UK, we’ve picked out some of the best burger joints in Manchester that we think you should check out, not just for the delicious food but also as an ideal place to go on a date.

The Dog Bowl
57 Whitworth St W, Manchester, M1 5WW

Another fantastic offering from the team behind the Black Dog Ballroom, The Dog Bowl (pictured above) is the perfect place to combine a date at the in-house bowling alley with tucking into one of their fine selection of burgers.

The pick of the bunch is The Deep South; a tasty treat containing juicy beef, smoked bacon, dill pickle, jack cheese, slaw and Alabama white BBQ sauce. Whilst simple in its execution, the burger is flavourful and doesn’t disappoint whilst the sweet potato fries make a great side addition to the burger.

If you fancy something without the meat, be sure to try the Green Meany. This delectable dish combines chickpeas, lime, coriander, pickle, slaw and paprika mayo to produce a burger that many meat eaters will be hankering to try themselves.

Along with great burgers, The Dog Bowl also has a great selection of drinks including Cocktails, Wine, Spirits and a selection of draught and bottled beers.

match.com have hosted a number of Match Socials at this fantastic venue, bringing our lovely single members together for a game of bowling and a chance to meet potential dates. Here’s what Tasha at The Dog Bowl had to say:

‘Dog Bowl have built a great relationship with Match.com, and it’s great to host events with them. The activity of bowling is a great icebreaker and really gets everyone interacting and involved.’

Southern11
Unit 26, 3 Hardman St, Manchester M3 3EB

Drawing on the wisdom of BBQ honed in Tennessee, James Hitchen returned to Manchester with the express aim of creating the best BBQ joint the city has to offer.

The result is Southern11; a BBQ house situated on Hardman Street that serves a range of dishes including tender pulled pork, Southern chicken dinner and a tasty selection of burgers; all in an authentic Deep South setting.

The stand out choice is the 100% rump beef burger which combines a juicy flame grilled burger with the full works of tomato, onion, lettuce and a tasty BBQ mayo.

For the non-meat eaters there’s a vegetarian version aptly named the Garden Burger. Both come with curly fries and for only 9.95 both offer great value!

Along with the tasty Southern dishes, there’s also a great drinks menu including Cocktails, bottled beers, draught beer and milkshakes; giving you and a date plenty of choices to accompany your meal.

Solita

Offering up a US diner experience, the Solita (South of Little Italy) restaurant sets itself apart with a unique variety of burgers on offer.

A particular stand out is the Once in a Lifetime burger.
