Best Winter Date Venues in London

Best winter warmer – The Zetter Townhouse

49-50 St John's Square, London, EC1V 4JJ

The Zetter Townhouse is hidden amongst terraced houses on St John’s Square. While it might look discreet on the outside, inside you’ll find a decadent retro-style lounge bar where you can sit back and relax with your date.

The décor is warm and inviting with cosy armchairs, beautiful chandeliers, intriguing knickknacks and an open fire. But what really makes this venue stand out is their selection of delicious cocktails.

The house cocktails are an intriguing mix of liquors and flavours which are enough to tantalise anyone’s taste buds. To keep you warm in the cold, we’d recommend ‘Somerset Sour’ – a delightful concoction of Somerset cider brandy, lemon juice, sugar & Brenton cider. And, if you get a little peckish, they is also a selection of small plates which perfectly complement their cocktails.

Definitely a top spot for dating in London.

Best comfort food – The Bull & Last

168 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1QS

London is home to a wealth of cosy and traditional pubs which are great if you’re looking for somewhere to take your date for some hearty dishes.

The Bull & Last comes out on top as our favourite venue for eating out on a date. Perfect after a long walk on Hampstead Heath, the pub is steeped in history, giving it a rustic welcoming feel from the offset.

The Bull & Last change their menu to suit the season. Our favourite comfort food picks from this place are the Lamb pie with curly kale and British partridge with Alsace bacon and black cabbage.

If you need any more convincing, head to their website where they have a gallery of dishes which are guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling!

Best day out – Southbank Centre Christmas Market

Belvedere Road, London, SE18XX

During winter and specifically in December, London has a great selection of Christmas markets.

There are many to choose from around the capital but our favourite is the Southbank Centre Christmas Market on until the 24th December.

Here you can get started on your Christmas shopping with their wide selection of crafts, jewellery, ceramics and textiles, and if your date isn’t into shopping you can simply enjoy the beautiful decorations over a glass of mulled wine and some delicious bratwurst.

A great place if you want a relaxed date with a festive feel.
