1) Soho Theatre, Soho

An intimate 150-seat venue in the heart of Soho, showcasing a wide variety of well-known comedy talent including Jack Dee, Marcus Brigstocke and Sara Pascoe. Its vibrant and lively atmosphere, bar, and excellent location make it an excellent choice for a date.

 

 

 

 

2) Amused Moose, Soho

A popular comedy club situated in W1, which has helped discover top-talent such as Jimmy Carr and Alex Zane. Plenty of big names perform here so you’re sure to find something good to take your date to for a fun night out.

 

 

 

 

3) Downstairs at the King’s Head, Crouch End

Hidden beneath a popular pub in Crouch End is the excellent ‘Downstairs at the King’s Head’. Start upstairs with a tasty craft beer or a fine glass of wine before heading downstairs to enjoy a wide variety of great comedy acts.

 

 

 

 

4) 99 Comedy Club, Various

99 Comedy Club has five different locations around London, and some of them have a restaurant and nightclub too – perfect if you want to make a full evening from your date. The clubs attract top names from the comedy circuit such as Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall, Lee Nelson and Jack Dee, and they've recently been awarded a Tripadvisor 'Certificate of Excellence'.

 

 

 

 

5) The Comedy Tree, Putney

With tickets for just £8 on the door, The Comedy Tree is a great choice if you’re dating on a budget. That’s not to say that you’re compromising on quality however, as the club has featured acts such as Reginald D Hunter, Milton Jones, Stephen Merchant and more.

 

 

 

 

6) Up The Creek, Greenwich

A great choice in Greenwich for a night of comedy, but if you’re feeling really adventurous they also offer beginner lessons in their ‘Comedy School’! Whilst only the bravest would dare attempt this on a first date, it could make for an interesting and different thing to do on a later date.

 

 

 

 

7) The Invisible Dot, King's Cross

The Invisible Dot is a small, intimate venue right in the heart of Kings Cross, but its small stature does not stop it from pulling in some big names such as Simon Amstell, Josie Long and Tim Key. It’s a great place to see acts’ work-in-progress, meaning you’ll see all-new material before it hits the Edinburgh Fringe!

9) Outside The Box, Various

Starting in Kingston, but now with a number of clubs across London and the South East, ‘Outside the Box’ showcases a range of well-known and up-and-coming talent. The intimate settings are perfect for a date.

 

 

 

 

10) Angel Comedy, Angel

Quality comedy means high prices, right? Not at Angel Comedy, where there are top acts every day of the week. A lively setting with lots of restaurants nearby, meaning you can spend a few extra pounds on your meal before enjoying a night of free comedy with your date here.
