Meet Susie, the star of the latest match.com adverts.
Tell us a bit about yourself…
“I work as GP and run my own business. I’m also setting up an online dress shop with my sister so I’m pretty busy, that’s why match.com comes in handy!
I love a good festival! This year, I’m heading to Latitude with my mates so it’d be nice to meet someone who is not averse to camping!
I try to be healthy and run the odd half marathon (although this is mainly so I can eat more of the cakes I bake!)
My family and friends are the most important thing in my life. I have a lovely set of mates in London; you can usually find us in a local bar or pub, talking nonsense and occasionally busting some suspect dance moves!
On top of all that I also really enjoy going to the theatre and doing all the usual London things like gigs, comedies and what not.”
Why did you decide to start dating online?
“I decided to try online dating as I just saw it as another way to meet someone; it increases your chances of meeting someone special.
Online dating doesn’t mean you won’t meet someone in a bar/through a friend, but I find that as you get a bit older, friends tend to settle down with their partners and there are less opportunities to meet someone new.”
Why did you choose match.com?
“I chose match.com for a couple of reasons. It’s the most well-known online dating site, and also a few of my friends have used it at one time or another; a couple of my close friends have met their partners this way. I think people in London are really used to online dating.
My friends told me how easy match.com is to use and having seen their success stories first hand it encouraged me to give it a go.
I think match.com is great as you get to meet people from all different walks of life-and people you wouldn’t usually have had the opportunity to; it’s a really easy way of meeting new people.
Oh and of course, match.com feature some lovely people in their adverts….!”
Are you looking for a specific type of person?
“I’m not really looking for anything specific. I’d just like to meet someone who is good fun and outgoing. I love my food, so someone who is a bit of a foodie is always a bonus!
My friends always joke that I like posh boys, but I don’t think this is the case. I tend to go for guys who have a good sense of humour and enjoy a bit of banter.”
What is your relationship history like?
“I’ve had a few of serious relationships in the past, the most serious lasting around 4 years. That was someone I used to live with and we went travelling the world together.
I’ve been single for about a year or so and I’m just ready to meet someone new.”
