1. Picnic Perfect
There’s nothing more romantic than a picnic with your partner on a warm summer’s day. Just grab a rug, some sandwiches, strawberries and maybe even a cool bottle of wine, and head down to a local park or nature spot for a relaxing afternoon.

2. Something New
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but never really got round to? Maybe you’ve always wanted to go boating on your local lake, have a drink in a new bar or visit a nearby market. Well, the sun’s out, so today’s the day you should do it! Doing new things with your partner injects instant life into your relationship.

3. Unusual Experiences
If you’re stuck for inspiration but feeling bold, take a look at your local listings guide, close your eyes, and place your finger on the page. Whatever you land on, you do. Maybe you’ll both discover a hidden passion for ballroom dancing or film noir. At the very least, it’ll be a mini shared adventure and something to talk about…

4. Wet Wet Wet
With the sun out, it’s the perfect time to go for a paddle in your local lake or take a dip in an outdoor pool with your partner. And after all that swimming you will definitely deserve an ice cream on your stroll home, it would be wrong not to.

5. Date Night
When you’ve been going out with someone for a long time, it’s easy to get stuck in a routine and forget to actually do something special together. So if you want to heat up your relationship, book a table at your favourite restaurant, put on something special and head off for a romantic meal.

6. Party Time
As much as you love your partner, sometimes throwing other people into the mix can reboot your relationship batteries. Why not get a bunch of friends around to your house for drinks, or invite everyone to yours to watch one of the many sports events going on during the summer.

7. The Spontaneous Cook
Nothing spices up a relationship like a bit of spontaneity, and cooking a romantic meal for no particular reason is always a good idea. Maybe you could put together your partner’s favourite dishes, or even some old classics like oysters or strawberries.

8. Adrenaline Junkie Or Comedy King?
Doing something exhilarating with your partner, such as wind surfing or go-karting, will get both of your hearts racing. If you’re not much of an adrenaline junkie, then why not catch some comedy? Everyone knows that laughter brings couples closer.
