match.com members immortalised as mannequins at unique event

On Tuesday 11th November match.com launched ‘Guy Candy’; a three day pop up which put a pair of its most style conscious members well and truly in the shop window in London’s trendy East End.

To ‘Ultraboost’ their profiles and put them in front of as many single females as possible, two London based members with a passion for fashion were recreated as mannequins in a Brick Lane shop window.

This first-of-a kind stunt was a real hit not only with Michael and Keron, who stood next to their respective replicas in the shop front, but with passers-by who stopped to gaze at the model-esque match members.

Keron, 26, from East London commented: “I love discovering new things, be it food, fashion or a new book. I’m a lot better in conversation than my mannequin, which is why I’m hoping like-minded ladies will like what they see in the shop window. I’m hoping to bag myself at least a couple of dates – I mean, who wouldn’t want to date a (technically) male model?”

Michael, 33, from Surrey adds: “Seeing my doppelganger was bizarre, but brilliant. I feel extremely positive about this experience and hopefully the perfect date is just a few mouse clicks away. I’m looking for an intelligent and genuine woman, who is ready for an adventurous and meaningful new beginning.”
