On Sunday 4th October 2015, I received a ‘wink’ from Jason and unbeknown to me, that was the start of our amazing adventure. Within a week myself and Jason has sent multiple messages to each other and arranged our first meeting for the following Saturday. We met in a bar at Leeds train station, he was late (which we still tease him about now). We had a few drinks and our conversation just flowed, I was mesmerised.
What aspect of their Match profile did you find most attractive or interesting?
Jason’s profile stood out to me, although after meeting some not so ‘match perfect’ people, I’d lost all hope and my subscription was coming to an end. Luckily, Jason sent across a ‘wink’ 24 hours before my subscription ended and we got talking. I loved looking at his photographs as we continued to chat through the match.com and he was someone who I warmed to instantly. I was so pleased to read how close he was with his family, his gorgeous blue eyes and his long legs. He definitely interested me and I knew he was someone that I wanted to get to know.
Do you have any plans together as a couple (holidays, moving in, commitment…)
It’s been nearly 4 years since our journey began and during this time we got engaged, got married, bought our home and most recently had a little bundle of joy together. I don’t think our commitment level could get any higher but I wouldn’t want to do it all with anyone else. He’s my one and only!
What are the cute little things you do for each other on a daily basis?
We often write little notes to each other, I generally find mine on the back of the shopping list. We are a very affectionate couple, so a hug and a cheeky kiss here and there are exchanged during the course of the day and there is no better feeling than to see Jason walk through the door after a day at work. We have a family motto of ‘team work’ and just the little things like setting the table before tea or bringing my glasses down from the bedroom, all make life so much easier.
What is the most crazy thing you have done for each other?
After 3 magical months we were in the White Rose Shopping Center, it was around Christmas time and we passed Ernest Jones jewellers. Jason pulled me back and said “come on, let’s just go have a look and you can show me the type of ring you’d like if we got engaged”. I was beaming! We mooched around the shop and I saw a beautiful bridal set on display, the shop assistant asked me if I’d like to try it on and Jason answered “yes” and before I could gather my thoughts the set of rings were on my finger. Jason says to this day, he just knew they were the ones for me. And again before I could think straight, he said to the shop assistant “we’ll have those then”. I just couldn’t believe it that this amazing man was buying a bridal set, for me, to eventually use when we got engaged and married. I was sweating from head to toe, with the biggest smile on my face!
